A few words about me and my connection with Crete

Originally from Greece, I was born in Kozani, grew up in Thessaloniki, and have lived in Brussels for the past 14 years. Since age four, gymnastics and dance have been part of my life. It wasn’t until ten years ago, during my work as a human rights activist, that Pilates entered my life, and I changed careers. I genuinely believe that, through Pilates, the mind and body work beautifully together to help people reach their full potential. This is what I love doing. I’m a true believer that we can enjoy life more.

I visited Crete over 20 years ago and even if I did not have the opportunity to study close to Chania, in the end I have visited the island of Crete over 20 times! I’ve met authentic people and brought numerous friends to discover this amazing place (τόπος). In 2019, I organized my first retreat in the southern part of Heraklion.

Now, after five years, it is time to have a second one with YOU!

What is THE retreat in Crete all about?

It’s about YOU – feeling well, living well, and connecting with others.

Delve into your Pilates practice, foster new habits, immerse yourself in the Cretan dances, and relish the unique flavors of Mediterranean cuisine, all while exploring the picturesque sights of Chania. This retreat is not just a holiday; it’s a personal investment in your well-being and a gift that shows you how much you value yourself and your life.

Chania, the westernmost part of the island of Crete, is famous for its lovely beaches, wild countryside, exceptional food, and more. The Chania region keeps its local and traditional identity and impressive landscape spots. Popular during summer, the season during our retreat is less touristy with 20+ degree weather. Well, I’m not a meteorologist 😊 but it has been like that until now. By the end of your stay, you’ll discover that the Cretan/Mediterranean Diet is closely related to the lifestyle of the people living on the island. The Cretans make a lot of effort to preserve their traditional nutritional customs, and the farmers aim to cultivate organic produce and preserve their ancient agricultural practices.

Be prepared to learn more about the history of prominent individuals who influenced Crete’s culture and made it a unique place to visit and live.

We have designed an exceptional retreat experience that we know can be life-changing, but please note it won’t be overwhelming. Regardless of your Pilates level, breathing techniques, or dietary habits, you’ll find a space to learn and grow and take what you need for yourself. You’ll also have ample time to spend by yourself or to connect with your partner, friend, or fellow retreat-goers.

We warmly welcome you to bring a partner or friend to share in this experience. However, please note that we can only accept a maximum of 14 attendees, including your partners and friends (if you want to bring someone with you – there’s a guest experience attendee ticket).

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Happiness is having peace of mind and having a goal, the achievement of which depends only on you, and every day taking a step forward, every day a step further, every day moving on. Our life is over in a flash, but we still have time.
